Charles’ Best - 4.8% Hazy Pale Ale. Charles’ Best is a really superb hazy pale ale we brewed with barley and oats and hopped with heavy satchels of Motueka, Mosaic, and Strata. This hop combo really sings with that sober 4.8%. Those big IPAs get all the glory, but man, there is something special in that sub 5% when the hops play so nice. We’re getting notes of Sumo mandarins ready to spill their juice, blueberry smoothies, syrupy spherical melon snacks, maybe a pink peppercorn, and a ripe pear that has a pleasant texture.
